Beautiful and modern, with plenty of charm and warmth. The 2,400 sq ft house is built for groups and families who want room to spread out after a day on the slopes or at the beach.
Gather around the cozy masonry fireplace in the large living room, cook a real dinner in the fully equipped gourmet kitchen, and settle the evening's rivalries over pool and foosball in the loft. The gas grill is on the balcony, right off the living room, so you can barbecue in any season. In winter you may need to shovel a little snow off the balcony first.
The lake is about a 5 minute drive, and Heavenly's ski lift is about 10 minutes away. A double garage and driveway mean easy parking, even in snow season.

The house is in the Tahoe Sierra neighborhood of the city of South Lake Tahoe, close to everything that makes the south shore special: lakefront beaches, Heavenly Mountain Resort, the Stateline casinos, restaurants, and trailheads.
A car is recommended for getting around. The exact address is shared with confirmed guests.

Owner and host
Hi, I'm Peter. This house is our family's Tahoe retreat, and we share it with a small number of guests rather than running it as a high-traffic rental.
I'm a Silicon Valley entrepreneur and world traveler who loves the outdoors: skiing, sailing, kayaking and mountain biking. I enjoy meeting new people, and I'm happy to share tips on where to ski, hike and eat around the south shore.
I respond quickly to messages before and during your stay.
Check-in from 3 PM (flexible). Check-out by 1 PM. We try to accommodate late check-out until 6 PM when there is no other booking that day. Virtual check-in with a keypad lock.
Up to 8 guests. City rules allow 6 adults plus up to 5 children under 13. Primary renter must be 25 or older. Children are welcome; the house is not infant-proofed and has no crib or high chair.
No pets, smoking, parties or events. Quiet hours 10 PM to 8 AM. As required by the City of South Lake Tahoe, a noise monitor alerts the manager if noise stays above 60 dB.
The City of South Lake Tahoe requires all guests to sign its VHR Good Neighbor Contract. After you book, we'll send you a filled-out copy to sign.
Refundable $300 security deposit.
Three outdoor cameras only: two monitor snow levels, and one covers the driveway, garage and bear box for parking compliance (required by the City of South Lake Tahoe).
